Bread in 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
- 1 cup milk (or buttermilk)
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil (or melted butter)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder or herbs (optional, for flavor)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using).
- Add Wet Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk and vegetable oil (or melted butter). Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. If you’re adding garlic powder or herbs, mix them in at this stage.
- Transfer to Loaf Pan:
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm.
