🍤 Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp with Rice

🧂 Ingredients:
For the Shrimp:
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Cream Sauce:
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Rice:
- 2 cups cooked white rice (jasmine or basmati recommended)
🔥 Instructions:
- Prep shrimp: Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Sear shrimp:
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter.
Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 1–2 minutes per side until just pink.
Remove shrimp and set aside. - Make the garlic butter sauce:
In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp butter and garlic. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant. - Add cream & cheese:
Stir in the cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer on low for 2–3 minutes until thickened. - Combine:
Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat. Simmer 1–2 more minutes. - Serve over rice:
Spoon creamy garlic shrimp over hot cooked rice. Garnish with chopped parsley.
