Iced White Chocolate Mocha (Starbucks Copycat)

Ingredient Notes

You really only need 3 ingredients to make an iced white chocolate mocha at home! Why go to Starbucks when it’s easier and cheaper to make at home?!

Espresso – I’m a BIG fan of my Nespresso machine, but any espresso or brewed coffee will work! I recommend a double shot of espresso which is about 2 ounces (¼ cup).

Half & Half – I like using half & half for a super rich, creamy latte. But you can use regular milk (or your favorite plant based milk) instead!

White Chocolate Sauce – I like using Torani White Chocolate Sauce but you can also make your own!

This Starbucks copycat iced white chocolate mocha is delicious, creamy, and super easy to make at home! Brewed espresso is mixed with creamy white chocolate sauce and topped with whipped cream for this easy iced latte.

This white chocolate mocha is on the sweeter side, so it’s perfect for anyone who wants a sweet treat but also a good dose of caffeine! You can use either store-bought white chocolate sauce, or make your own with just 2 ingredients!

Whipped Cream – This is optional, but I love topping a white chocolate mocha with a little bit of whipped cream!

White Chocolate Shavings – Also optional, but using a vegetable peeler to make some quick chocolate curls is my favorite way to make drinks look fancy!

Coffee Ice Cubes – I love making coffee ice cubes for iced coffee so that when they melt, it doesn’t water down your drink! I recommend using cold brew coffee and freezing in a silicone tray!

Make Your Own White Chocolate Sauce

White chocolate sauce is basically just super thin chocolate ganache! I like the bottled stuff because it’s convenient, but making your own is pretty easy too!

  • 4 ounces white chocolate, chopped
  • ½ cup milk or cream
  1. Finely chop the white chocolate and place into a large bowl.
  2. Place the milk or cream in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes or until hot to the touch but not boiling.
  3. Pour over the chopped white chocolate and let sit for about two minutes.
  4. Using a spatula, gently mix until the chocolate is fully melted and the ganache is fully combined and smooth.
  5. It will be very runny and will thicken slightly as it cools. Store in the fridge for up to a week (you may need to reheat to make runny again).

Recipe Notes

This iced white chocolate mocha is delicious as is, but here’s a few fun twists you can make:

  • Peppermint white chocolate mocha: I just love the combo of chocolate and peppermint! Add ¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract to the milk and top with crushed peppermint candies for a fun holiday twist!
  • Spiked white chocolate mocha: For a boozy coffee drink, add 1 ounce of any cream liqueur (I love Baileys Irish CreamGodiva White Chocolate Liqueur, or Sugarlands Sipping Cream).
  • Hot white chocolate mocha: Instead of an iced mocha, serve this latte hot instead! After combining the milk and white chocolate sauce, heat the milk in the microwave or over the stove until hot. Then use a handheld frother to froth before adding to the warm espresso. You can still top with whipped cream and white chocolate shavings if desired.
